The old fashion way!

Running Rich or Lean?            "Read your plugs"

To judge if you car is running rich or lean; the spark plug insulators should (ideally) be light tan in color. Lighter color is lean, a darker color is rich. (For checking running speed, do not idle - shut down and check them, for checking idle richness let the engine idle for few minutes first)
